The Michigan Capitol Battle Flag Collection The Michigan State Capitol has a website. In it is a great review of the flags held there, how to support and visit. http://capitol.michigan.gov/BattleFlags
Bentley Historical Library Civil War Well known in Michigan is the Bentley Library at the University of Michigan. Their collection includes many writings and image from the Civil War. The information is now able to be viewed, at least in a basic form, online. Ovid Historical Society The Ovid Historical Society is working to learn more about the men who came in contact with their town who served in the Civil War. SUVCW Graves page The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Department of Michigan have been working for decades now to collect, save and now list on a database the graves of Michigan men. They have over 60,000 entries which are serachable by name. If you know the name of the man you are looking for, this is an amazing resource! Here's a way to try it - go to one of our regiment pages. Find the name of a man we don't yet have a grave photo for. Plug it in their database and see what you come up with! http://www.suvcwmi.org/graves/
Stone's River Michigan Regimental Files The Stone's River NPS has a great page of resources of Michigan men related to their battle. This is a great resource as the men's regiments fought there but the information goes wider across the war. http://www.nps.gov/stri/historyculture/regfmichigan.htm
Macomb County Civil War Connections This is Robert and Cheryl Allen's site about Macomb County. It also has a list of publications they've written and where you can acquire them. It's an excellent resource for that region! http://www.macombmicw.com/
